Butter Chicken Style Chickpea Stuffed Buns

When speed meets comfort, you get this butter chicken-style chickpea stuffed bun. Canned chickpeas already seasoned in a creamy, fragrant Indian-spiced sauce make prep a breeze.

Preheat the oven to 205°C (400°F).
Open the hot dog buns and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Warm in the oven for 5 to 6 minutes.
Meanwhile, pour the chickpeas into a saucepan without rinsing. Heat over medium for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brown the halloumi slices for 1 to 2 minutes per side.
Fill the buns with chickpeas, halloumi slices, red onion, and lettuce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Tip:

Add a few fresh cilantro leaves or a drizzle of lemon juice before serving to enhance the Indian flavours.
